Connect with local yogis?

Join us for Saturday morning Yoga on the Bayou classes. Each weekend we meet “on the mat” to connect with each other and the beautiful nature of Bayou St. John.

RSVP for the next Yoga on the Bayou class here.

When: Saturdays 8:30-9:30A.M.
Where: On Bayou St. John under the oak trees, near the corner of Dumaine and Moss streets, in New Orleans.
(N. Jefferson Davis Parkway on some maps)
Bring: your own yoga mat and/or large towel and a friend 🙂
Suggested contribution: $10.00 – $20.00

Yoga on the Bayou is held outside on the bayou when the weather permits. The class is open to the public and great for any level of student.

Yoga on the Bayou is an excellent way to start your day! In this class, we gradually warm up through light poses and connecting the breath with our movement. We move through standing poses, and sometimes sun salutations, at an un-rushed pace that matches the rate of your breath. I teach proper alignment and encourage you to move in sync with your body in order to avoid injury. You will enjoy standing and seated yoga postures as well as deep rejuvenation.

Yoga Lagniappe was created to make local yoga and wellness information easily accessible to people in the New Orleans area, as well as connect you directly to a supportive community that seeks a balanced lifestyle in the Big Easy. My desire is to increase the number of New Orleanians benefiting from the gifts that yoga and wellness provide, and thereby increase the quality of life in our city. I seek to be a part of a thriving local yoga and wellness community that benefits not only its members, but the world at large.

From my mat to yours,
