Anti-Slouching Yoga Break

Try this quick anti-slouching yoga break throughout your day. It’s a great way to break up time working at a computer or reading.

In this video you’ll learn three anti-slouching yoga moves. Each movement is designed to open your chest or shoulder area.

If sitting for an extended period of time has made you feel lethargic, make your inhalations about 2 counts longer than your exhalations as you perform each movement. This will bring more energy to your upper body.

If your energy level feels good then use a balanced breath pattern, keeping your inhalations and exhalations the same length.

To prevent slouching take short breaks throughout your day to practice one or all of these movements.

Share this quick anti-slouching yoga break with your co-workers and remind each other to standup, stretch and breath for every 25 to 45 minutes that you sit.

I hope you enjoy this simple way to bring yoga off of the yoga mat and into your daily life.

Please comment below and let me know how this works for you and if you have any other daily stressors that could use a yoga break.
